Little Miss Acid Drop

Received a copy of the letter Trading Standards have sent to Banff the builder. I bet he's fizzing! But, as he suggested the adjudication service provided by the FMB, I've contacted them; awaiting form in the post. It costs £110 per hour + VAT but if it gets my home sorted it will be worth it.
The letter I received from him is a disgrace; he's listed what he'll do and what he won't! Cheeky tw*t! He keeps referring to "extras" but isn't specific about what they are. All I want is the job finished properly, stupid man!

My washing machine is leaking! I've given up trying to mop up the water and decided to leave it! Never mind, it'll clean the floor. My only worry is that there's still loads of plaster on the floor and carpet that it'll probably end up like cement! Ho-hum! Anyone got a chisel...
Had a friend of a friend give me some advice about the mess the builders left my home in...he said he shouldn't be allow to get away with it and should be made to put everything right. I should involve FMB as they should be on my side and will make him complete the job properly. Looks like this is going to be my only option. Will ring them tomorrow...

Got a registered letter from f*ckface! Bloody cheek! He's left my home like a building site and he's accepting no responsibilty! Arrogant batandtwastard!
He's stated that FMB will adjudicate. You bet your life they will!
The man's an idiot - the contract states my whole house is to be decorated; he is refusing to do my conservatory or porch as it's not in the contract! He's also refusing to varnish as it's not paint! Let's see.....

Had a very strange day today. Went in to work to see some colleagues for a catch up; some very strange goings on!

Went and looked at a wash basin on a stand; had already decided I wouldn't like it but guess what? I do! I really like it and it's not what I would have even considered looking at. &...when I asked f*ckface Anff to put a line of smaller mosiac tiles round my bath, he said no! But...if I have to have the bath taken out I will HAVE to have a line of tiles! Are things looking up?!

Bought a new steam iron - well, a steam generator actually! Couldn't resist having a go....it's fab! Every home should have one! Wonder if my bro will go halfers as I do his ironing as well...

I checked batandtwastards website and he's touting kitchens for £2k.....I only hope no-one takes up his offer. There'll be tears!

Got up this morning and decided I was sick of living in a building site so set about cleaning, where I could. Not easy, believe me! All I've managed is:
the small front bedroom - paint & plaster cleaned off windows and swept out
bathroom - paint and plaster cleaned off windows, shower thoroughly cleaned, bath cleaned and floor washed.
Waiting for the floor to dry!

I'm waiting for a painter and decorator. He's going to give me an estimate. So annoying when Anff, twastard batface has been paid to do it! He's so incompetent he can't even slop emulsion on the walls it has to be over the windows and floors as well.

The plumber from yesterday rang. There is a bath and sink in his mates shop that might match the toilet so I'll go and have a look tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

After the p&d has been I'm going to the fish shop as I need cheering up and can't be bothered to cook. Then I'll have a shower, clean jammies on and settle down with a glass of wine in front of Question Time; guess I'll take my frustration out on that bigoted BNP tw*t!

Plumber came today. The bathroom was tiled before the bath was put in which is why it doesn't fit so the lot has to come out! I could stangulate batandtwastard! I'll have to buy another suite because the one f*ckwit has put in doesn't match! But on a positive note - he got the shower working!
I'm beginning to feel like there's no end to this. Running away does appear to be a very good option! However, I'll not let the bastard get me down so I'll see him in court......cassie

Well, rang the Federation of Master Builders again. Not very helpful; their complaints procedure is inadaquate for cases that need urgent attention. I have to complete a compaints form and send to them; they then write to the builder and give him 14 days to respond; if he doesn't they send him a reminder and give him a further 7 days. They then consider the complaint.....
& in the meantime I'm living in a property that has been wrecked by their member!

I am getting really upset and frustrated by this whole thing! No matter which way I turn there are obstacles and that bastard has got away with it! I contacted FMB so that other single women weren't robbed by the bastard but nobody is interested - Trading Standards, CAB, FMB. I'm now going to ring a solicitor and see if they're interested.

I have a plumber coming later to see what can be done about the bathroom; fingers crossed that he's a miracle worker!

So...I named batandtwastard on Rogue Traders and the DTI site. Not that'll get my money back but it may lose him some work.
Decided I'm going to sue so off to the solicitors tomorrow. Wish me luck.......cassie

Ho-hum....just had a joiner in to give me a quote to fix batandtwastards work. He laughed! Apparently, it's "shoddy" and hasn't been done by a joiner. Now I have to wait to see how much it will cost to put right! The door frames aren't in properly, the skirting are all twisted and if he takes the damaged window sills off it will damage the walls! & as far as the bathroom is concerned - it will have to come out!!
Now I'm really angry! Is it an offence to name him here? Can I put a link to his website to warn other unsuspecting single women who think by going thru' the FMB they're protected from cowboys?........a very depressed cassie

I'm determined today to be positive. I've rang four builders to come out and give me a quote to finish off the botched job that batandtwastard Anff has left (he thinks he's living style, my arse!). Let's hope I can afford them! There's only the loft to finish, a bathroom suite to fix/install, plastering to be repaired/replaced, joinery that needs repairing, cracks in walls where he brayed them with a hammer....the list seems endless.
Still no response from the guy at the Federation of Master Builders - I suppose that tells me a lot! Will ring again later.

Where have you been, I hear you ask. It's a long story and one I need you to help with the ending.

I've had the b*stard builder in! First thing he done...cut my cable/'phone/broadband! That was 20 July! Now, he's not all bad, he did volunteer to reconnect me but I declined when I found he'd tried to do it from my TV connection! Bless! But that's the least of my worries! I'm now living like a hobo - no carpets, no blinds, no washbasin, lights hanging from the ceiling, a bathroom suite that doesn't match (but no wash basin) and radiators on the floor not the wall!

So, what do I do? I've often been called a witch so maybe he hasn't been in touch for 2 weeks because he's suffered the fate I've wished for him. Anyway, the batandtwastard has had £17500 of my money and I want something to show for it!

You'd have thought that getting him from the Federation of Master Builders site would have ensured I was dealing with a professional but ho-hum.....

Thinking of buying a caravan though and cutting my losses.......cassief
